i liked the characters, the abilitys, the story
im currently playing FF VII and on disc 2 on the snow mountin
and i just feel IX was better

I'm going to go a little bit different from the trend, as my favorite is and always will be Final Fantasy VI (3 in the US). Aside from the fact that I love the story and the gameplay, the sentimental value behind the title is really its biggest draw. For myself, and so many others, VI was the introduction to RPGs. It's what got me hooked on Final Fantasy, and drew me into a world that I may never have experienced otherwise. If I had to point out one distinction that separates VI from later titles (which, granted, had better graphics and thanks to increased disc space bigger worlds to play with)... It would have to be the immense range of the characters. All of the characters in VI were so much fun, and had such great personalities and variation in their gameplay... Even with 7 (which I consider the best FF of the Playstation-and-on era, and is nearly my favorite overall) the number of characters available dropped considerably, and the variation between them wasn't there quite so much. I hope you keep playing VII, it gets better as you progress :)

Final Fantasy X-2. I enjoyed the story line. Some of the graphics line-outs were not all that good, but I love the story. The characters are well thought out. The battle system is well thought out as well. Also, I liked the dressphere changes, and the garment grids. It being devided into chapters makes it your basic, but sort of challenging Turn-Based RPG. The whole game is really rather a good topic for us RPG researchers out there to research.

My fav? Its Final Fantasy Tactics Advance! It has that "Shining Force" turn-based detail to it, ya?

i sure wish i could say FFIX, but it was a little difficult to find a party everytime i wanted to play with people online there.
i'd have to go with FFVII, as the story is just mindblowing, the charactors are with great character, and the enemy kicks *** too! i kind of like the whole materia set up and the weapon monsters too!

well mine would have to be FF XI because it is online (i'm a sucker mmorpg) although it is hard to understand all the items i still find it fun
