Preferably ones that give you simple html links that you can cut-paste. I know I won't get rich, but I figure I may as well fill that empty space at the bottom of my website with something that pays.

if your are looking for a CPS (per sale) or CPL (Per Lead) program the best to use is Commission junction (cj.com) , if you are for CPM or CPC use Google Adsense and Clickbooth

first of all, you need a solid way to monetize the traffic on your site. if you already have that, then the affiliate networks can be a great source for more traffic. you can pay-per-lead and if you have a good concept of what your conversion rates are from lead to sale, it's easy money.
