..effectively disabling the use of Yahoo messenger for me. It's the 'add to messenger list request'. I have tried to delete her but the box appears, and freezes the service.

I am given the option of adding or ignoring her, Ihave tried both! I can't add her because I already have and I can't delete her because I cannot logon- the box asking me this question won't go away...

The problem is you have add the friend or not.If you add it this problem not be happen.If you don't want you can block it for else the message will come over and over just like me.

Log off and restart the program

try unistalling and reinstalling it perhaps
