Considering their overall achievements with the Beatles, which artists is more deep in their perspectives or with the more easiness to bring the music to the masses of JL and PMc? Are they overrated? As musicians, songwritters, influential, etc?

As a lifelong Beatles fan and lover of all kinds of music,I would have to say John Lennon,of course I loved them better together,I did love Wings and I still love Sir.Paul, but John wrote some of the best Beatle songs and sang lead on most of them, also if you listen to John Lennons Legends c.d,there is Imagine, and Give Peace a Chance, mind games,Instant Karma etc. They are all wonderful, thought provoking songs,John was all about peace and changing the world through music,if he were alive trust me he would have way surpassed Paul.

Hard to say - it's a matter of taste. The combination of the two sets of great talent is what made The Beatles so outstanding and influential.

You can see in in their first solo albums. Without the other to serve as an editor, John's albums became somewhat harsh and off-putting (not commercial) and Paul's became sort of sappy and inconsequential (not meaningful). John's Sometime in New York City and Paul's Wings Wild Life are among the worst albums ever released by major artists. Unlistenable!

I very much preferred them as a duet. John would belittle an effort by Paul and as the Beatles they produced astonishing compositions that are layered, first with John's 12 bars and then Paul's 8 bars. John was the reason for the Beatles starting in the first place.

Time showed Paul was the more versatile and prolific songwriter.

That's a hard question. They're both so talented. I lean towards Paul though.
They are definitely NOT overrated. They wrote together and as individuals some of the best songs ever written.
If only John were here. Their competition with each other made them both do great things.

Great question. As a Beatles fan for the last 40+ years, I always thought that John had more talent than any of the other 3. They were NOT overrated. Their early stuff was "childlike" by today's standards, but they defined the standard. "Sgt Peppers" is my all time favorite album. "Help" and "Rubber Soul" rank up there as well. "My Life" from "Rubber Soul" was Lennon's favorite song.

Very tough. I would lean toward Paul. Just because he is still alive and did alot with Wings. The two are probably the biggest influence in music since Beethoven and Elvis.
