I would like to transfer audio cassette to compact disc. How difficult is this? What should be the price/charge for doing this?

the easiest and cheapest way to do this is to purchase a cd recorder that you can hook up to your stereo. You can find them relatively cheap now. Shop for one at Bestbuy, CircuitCity or even Walmart. You can go online to their sets and compare prices.

Do you have access to a MD recorder? Or use direct line to mp3 player/ recorder. Then copy the mp3 files to a PC and use NERO or CD burning software to make an audio CD. May be an extra step than using Audio/Video recorders.

If you are in Australia there is a place in WA which can do it for around $50, depends on the length of the tape.

I downloaded Audacity utility. this is loose. you may hook up the stereo output to the workstation and record the music. there is yet another little bit of utility which you will locate interior the path of the Audacity website to transform your recordings to MP3s. this is extraordinarily user-friendly.
