We claim as a couple, but we get individual replies and cannot stop this. based on 16 wasted envelopes per couple claiming, it works out at £2.3 million in wasted postage alone! Do other couples get this happening? if so, how many have you had this year?

I don't know how many we have had this year, but not as many as last year, but we haven't completed the year-end information yet. I have asked them to stop sending 2 of everything, but they can't /won't.
We have had so many problems with them, don't get me started!!

It is probably due to the Data Protection Act being enforced rigorously in the UK, because you are married and live at the same address cannot always be read that you share information or are together in every sense, so to cover any eventuality, the Tax office will always address letters separately

My husband and I are having the same problem. We have recieved about the same amount of letters. They still have some of our details wrong even though we have phoned on numerous occasions. We have tried to stop the claim because we now earn more than the claim threshold. We were told they will stop payments but they have to keep on sending the updates. Nightmare.

Yes, it annoys me every time. We are up to 16 as well... what a waste as half of them are just shredded and recycled anyway. Well, more than half as they duplicate all the information over and over again don't they.

I know and they always miss off the info you need, or they don't make sense.
