I'm just too busy with all kinds of stuff. Mostly work. I barely have time to interact with my friends and colleagues at all. I only interact with them when it comes to work/business. I hardly have time to talk to them about personal stuff and other things.

I'm the "work before pleasure" kind of person. Without communication between me and my friends & colleagues, I feel kind of left out. It's like I'm all alone and there's no body there for me when I need them.

So, how can I manage my time efficiently so that I have time to interact with my friends? There's just too much work for me and I'm always busy. "Prioritizing" what needed to be done would mean I have to work and only work all the time... Please help...? I really need to spend some time with my friends...

If you have your clothes ready the night before and get up 15 minutes earlier, you might have time for a quick breakfast or coffee with a friend before work

If possible, you could carpool so that you have time to talk to each other on the way to/from work

You must have lunch or dinner at some point, so invite a friend to join you

If you engage in any activities on the weekends (such as golf, or going to the gym, etc.) ask a friend to go with you

It sounds like you have very good work ethics but remember that (on average) you spend 5 out of every 7 days of your adult life working. Use the 2 days to bond with people. That should also be on the priority list!

Good luck :)

One of the items you may want to put on your priority list is making time to socialize. Even if is an hour one week and maybe add a little time every week. Work will always be there but if you shut your self off from your Friends they may not be there. Social interaction is very good for your mental well being as well. Make the time to socialize as a priority.

OK...think of this. If you die tomorrow would your boss be lost for someone to take your place? Probably not. No one is indispensable. You are only a number; another "worker bee". There is no personal relationship with your work. Your friends/family, however, may grieve for your and cry. No one would be able to fill your place in their hearts. So...the trick is...you work for a certain number of hours, and that's it! If you can't get it done in that 8 hr period, you have too much work to do. You will have to differentiate between work and pleasure as most of the time, they do not go hand in hand; and set aside a time for yourself to socialize. Or you will become a social outcast with no life of your own. Try doing something fun during lunch and breaks totally unrelated to work. And when you get home, NO WORK ! You'll adapt soon enough.

If you have a 9-5 job, can you do lunch with people as a time to socialize? Also what about setting up 2 nights a week after work as time to see people either for dinner or to get together? Even if you are doing work/errands on weekends, can you set aside a 2 hour block somewhere for seeing friends? Work can be endless and very consuming.

Use a daily calendar, and encourage your friends to use one to. Show each other your busy calendars and make sure you both fit in sometime to meet each other.Good luck! Hope this helps...=)
