Either way, you wouldn't get any work done. If your arms were tied behind your back, then you wouldn't be able to use your hands. And if they hit you over the head, you will be knocked out, have coffee all over you, and won't be able to get off the floor. So. stay in your chair, get your work done, and come back. We will still be here waiting for you.
