Ok, let me answer some of the answers, can't go shopping, money remember. Volunteering takes too much time to start. Can't go hiking/camping, its 100 degrees. I'm not a kid so I "can't help mom with housework." Don't have a garage or House and YES, I have been to the Reunion Tower. (I like that place, too!)

Clean out your garage, and have a yard sale. With the extra money go to the top of Reunion tower. You have never done that, and it opened 25 years ago. Don't worry about having a drink. You won't need one. Most people feel dizzy up top from the place moving. Another thing you should try is Susi. Things you have never done, should of been your new years resolution

depending on your location, and your age. museums are very unusual places. most towns have one or one is close by. if you do not like museums try the local chamber of commerce in town or a town of your choice for events.
you can also work on projects around the house. family projects are hard to find, especially if your kids (if you have any) do not want to participate.
walking in parks are good and relaxing if you take the time to stop from time to time and notice things around you. Walking in malls is also good if you have to stay away from the summer heat.

there are probably many other things you can do but these are some of my favorites.

If you live in an urban center, find an ethnic neighborhood, walk around, window shop, maybe buy little souvenirs and eat in a neighborhood restaurant - you've now travelled there - or decided never to travel there...

Discover what brings the Vacationers to your area. Amazingly, we don't sometimes know what is in our own back yard.
