I think that almost everyone has the thought cross their minds, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the urge is very strong or that they will act on it.

What other people think about not being fulfilled by the spouse is not necessarily true. I think that sometimes curiosity or a desire for novelty can be strong motivators too - again, it's up to the individual as to whether or not he/she acts on his/her desires.

True too is the issue of the wedding vows, but in my opinion, if that is the main reason not to cheat something is seriously flawed in the marriage. For me the gut wrenching agony my beloved spouse would endure if he found out is a major deterrent.

Maybe you are asking because you or someone you know are having these thoughts and wondering if it's normal. It is totally normal to have the thoughts. As far as actually cheating, I think that the idea the "everyone else is doing it" is a horrible reason.

In a relationship to work there must be truth , honesty ,respect and communication. If you don't have these this is where problems start and then the marriages fall apart or they cheat and the other seams to find out about it.Most times after that most relationships end up separating or divorced. But if you are happy at home you shouldn't have to cheat.

If you get the itch you need not to scratch it.. We sometimes fall into the same routine and need to spice up our lives a little.. If you cheat you will be disappointed, this is not the spice you thought you needed. Talk to your spouse, she may be going through the same thing.. Then come together on a solution.. It just might mean a makeover, vacation or even painting the house.. Good luck

It doesn't have to be 7 years. It can happen right away. Men are different than women. If a woman is being satisfied then she most likely won't cheat but men like variety but can still be in love with their wife. Think about this; how many married men are going to turn down "the other woman" if she is throwing herself at him? It is all about opportunity and feeling like he won't get caught so he does it.

Thats not true. You can start cheating right after marriage, or never cheat. All depends on you.

if you do it is because both have failed in fulfilling each other's expectations. They have not talked about and worked on those expectations. Having affair outside your relationship will increase this gap and working on the spiritual, deep relationship will be worse than ever.

Communication is the clue.
