my friend wants our relation to be one sided, that is I am the one who is calling him and sending msgs on net, though he says he cares for me, but he does not respond so frequently as I do and he is of the opinion that frequent connection either through calls or emails is not that necessary........previously he was not like this, then what can have happened to him now?????? he does not say anything when I ask him

i do think it is necessary to keep in contact often it does help keep the relationship alive, but some men are bad at that- it does not mean he does not care just you keeping in contact should help. i am away in england at the mo and i have left my husband in the usa i call him most nights just to ask how his day was and so on, i know he loves it when i call but you do not see him calling me :-)

The key to any relationship is communication. If you are the one doing most of the communicating, there is a problem. He is probably seeing other people, and he doesn't want to hurt you.

Ask yourself if this guy is really worth the effort. Long distance relationships require commitment and communication on both people's parts. If you are the only one committed to the relationship, it will never work.

I went through the same thing 20 years ago when my BF was transferred out of state with his job. Trust me, it was much worse back then when there were no cell phones or e-mail. Eventually, we parted ways. It was just too hard to keep it going for the long haul.

I think a long distance relationship can only work if there is communication even though there are miles apart and both must be committed to this. Why not call each other in the morning and at night before bed. Tell him that is what you need. If he does not agree and cannot give a valid reason why.............then it will become unhealthy. He should want to reassure you and make you feel at ease with the distance between you.

he may have lost interest with it not being something he can hold in his arms or he is just a bit to busy not to mention there could be a huge time difference between you's and when he reads it is at a time that is not good for him to reply since we all have random lifstyes and I have been down this track before. Sometimes it is also hard to be there for one another when you are so far apart

Anything may happen at any moment in these types of relationships.
You are right and he is wrong. He might have lost interest in you.
Both Men and Women are unpredictable.
