its not about us, not about israel, its about dynasties. This is a trend in the world. Roman emperor had terrorists they fought against, indian, japanese, british all those emperors had terrorists and the definition and the nationality of the terrorist kept changing with the emperor.
The US is the current emperor in the world stage with Israel being the mini emperor in the mid-east. So that is how it is, the world was never a peaceful place.
One thing though is for sure, whether gladly or not - times up for the us emperor - that is signaled by the many wars it had recently.
When an emperor is being made - he is made with no war ; when their end comes - they go with war. Remember when the british emperor was still there and how america didn't bother much about ww1 or ww2 until pearl harbor got attacked. That was the making of the emperor. Sadly his time has come.
I think the new world emperor would be China - it is in the breeding now.
And for US, sorry folks, this has always being happening thoughout history. Do the people in the US have to be afraid? Don't and no, you'll all be as the brits, the romans, the indians or the japs would be - you'll live. Only the title would change.

Ya know, last I checked the US hasn't had a civil war or guerilla warfare in the US for ooooo like a hundred years. Oddly South America, the MIddle East, and large chunks of Asia can't say that. Hmmmmm. How would the world be more peaceful exactly? OOOoo I get it, then the mass murderers, tyrants and such wouldn't have anything to worry about, so they could go on with genocide and terrorizing innocent people, but since no one would fight em, I guess thats peace,,,in a sick and demented kinda way.

I think you assign far to much blame to the USA. There are currently several conflicts around the world. In the African continent( Mogadishu, Dafur, in Asia, the Middle East. North korea and South Korea, Japan and China, China and Tibet, Russians and Chechens, India and Pakistan, Turkey and Cyprus. At any time there is someone fighting about something. As much as you want to blame those two countries, you really SHOULD do a little research.

According to Qutb, an Islamic scholar, the world would be utopia if every non-Muslims (unbeliever) converted to Islam or was eliminated.

The Qur'an says {English, transliteration, Arabic}:
(8:39) "So fight them (unbelievers) until there is no more fitnah (disbelief or worship of any god but Allah) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)" ... "And fight with them until there is no more fitnah (persecution) and religion should be only for Allah"

Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi fa-ini intahaw fa-inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun

Yes, this world would be more peaceful if there are no religions in this world. If the religions would be required to be there, then it can have them all but ONE. Guess which one? A religion whose followers are spreading the TERRORISM all over the world.

How so when friends, neighbors, families, married couples can't get along in every country ? It is the human spirit that needs changed, not getting rid of countries. Love is the strongest force in the human heart. Let each one of us show kindness and love in all things and see if that makes a difference in the world.

All the best and love to you.

We'd all be living in communist soviet republics and speaking russian, or in islamic fundamentalist republics reciting koran verses we learned by rote memorization (unless you're a woman, in which case you wouldn't know how to read).

knock the USA all you want, but there are worse things than McDonalds and coca cola. I can't say the same for Israel, but that's another, VERY LONG thread...

Unfortunately, it's an impossible question. It's like saying wouldn't it be a better world if we didn't have nuclear weapons. They have been invented and can't be uninvented. So, just accept the situation and see what you can do to help.
