Actually the USA team DOES play internationally. They even played against New Zealand and World Champs Australia recently, however the ICC, cricket's equivalent of FIFA, divides cricketing nations into three categories, Test playing members, Affiliates, and Associates. USA is only an associate country, which means they have a lot of qualifiers to play to get to the World Cup, and haven't yet succeeded in doing so.

Yes United States is having the cricket team.
But it is not the international team as it has not played any international match yet.
4 to 5 months ago I saw a match in which USA played. They are playing very nicely. I think that USA will surely get a place to play in the world cup 2011 that is going to be held in India.
They have a good attacking batting line up followed by some descent pace department.
Hope for the best of the USA cricket team in future.

yes the us does have an international cricket team not many home grown players mainly expats from overseas they are not good at this stage, actuallly pathetic, but 25 years ago soccer was not of a world standard in the us either and look who made the final 16 in the world cup this year so theres hope yet signed true blue aussie cricket supporter

Dont U remember India beating them badly.
They are a just associate member of ICC because they stink.
They have to qaulify by playing lots of qaulifiers for ICC Champions trophy as well as World Cup.
Did U know that USA has the oldest average age for players at 33 yrs. and the oldest is of 45 yrs.
U can imagine the participation of Youth in Cricket in USA.

i never heard about a cricket team for US.
i dont think a team exists.

Ya it has.
It doesnt play internationaly because ICC doesnt allow it to.
Most of the players are Indians.
Cricket is not given patronage there.
They r not so good that they can play internationally.
