Israel is invading Lebanon. Syria is not really able to support the Hezbollah so Iran has to step in. To reach the Lebanon, Iranian fighter jets have to fly over the Iraq or over Turkey. The USA could use that to attack Iran. What are your thoughts? what speaks against this scenario?

While the US has jets based in Turkey, they do not have permission to engage Iranian jets unless in self-defense. Turkey has a history of objecting to how our Air Force is deployed, and as it is their airspace, they do have that right. So I don't see that happening.
And there is NO WAY Iran choose to use Iraq's airspace, as the US would not be restrained by the host country.
I also think Iran doesn't risk a direct engagement with the Israeli Air Force. First and foremost, they are likely to be defeated as Israel's equipment and training are both world class.
Second, while the US would be unlikely to engage or pursue the Iranian Air Force, the Israelis would have absolutely no hesitation. After all, they lead a bombing mission to destroy Iran's first attempt at nuclear power 20 years ago.

America is not responsible for the coflict in Israel and Lebanon. No one is happy for the war. The administration has just said we will not interfere and that Israel has a right to defend itself. No one in Israel wants to see innocent people killed. Hezbollah is responsible for their deaths. The families of the innocent children are to blame for their deaths because they allow Hezbollah to use their homes. The ends justify the means.

Nobody is happy with war. Yesterday the idiots in Hezbollah admitted that they just thought they would kidnap 2 soldiers and have a prisoner swap (like the good ole days). Boy did they get a surprise.

I truly don't think the citizens of the U.S. support any kind of war. That was brought home with September 11th. The majority of us are peace-loving people who would like to get along--hence, democracy.
