I like John Carradine. He's better known for cheezy horror movies and for being the father of David and Keith Carradine, but people forget about his work in movies like "Bluebeard" and "The Grapes of Wrath".

My favorites are James Stewart and Brando. I also like Joseph Cotten. His name makes everyone say "Who?" and then "Oh that guy" when they see him.

P.S. I can never resist mentioning that I am related (distantly and by marriage) to Gregory Peck.
