With parity ruling the NFL now, it is a very difficult decision.
AFC
East- New England Patriots
North- Pittsburgh Steelers
South- Indianapolis
West- San Diego
Wild Cards- Cincinnati/Miami
NFC
East- Washington Redskins
North- Green Bay Packers
South- Carolina Panthers
West- Seattle Seahawks
Wild Cards- New York Giants/ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
AFC Champion-Indianapolis Colts
NFC Champion-Carolina Panthers
NFL Champion- Carolina Panthers
Unfortunately I believe Peyton Manning to be on the Dan Marino tour of the NFL, lots of records, lots of wins, no rings. Panthers are a solid team, that made the right moves this year. New England is dark horse on AFC side due to injury issues last season, and new faces, if comes together, they could run with it. Green Bay had same issues, if everyone is healthy, and new coach isn't a complete idiot, they could run with it in Favre's final season.
On paper best team? As always the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings have put some of the most talented teams onto the field over the last 20 years, yet have done nothing with it.
Best team on the actual field? Barring injury and Big Ben coming back from idiotic accident(save it for when you retire my man) the Steelers should repeat and be best team, but lose points due to the accident.
So after all of my rambling the Panthers are the best team if the Steelers falter, if Steelers don't falter, then Pittsburgh wins Super Bowl over Carolina 24-21.

Division Winners
AFC
East - Miami
South - Indy
North - Baltimore
West - Kansas City
NFC
East - Philadelphia
South - Carolina
North - Chicago
West - Seattle
Most Improved NFC - Arizona Cardinals. Adding Edgerrin James, beefing up the defense, everybody getting comfortable in the Denny Green system, a new stadium with sold out games for the first time, all add up to 10 wins for the Cardinals.
Most Improved AFC - Kansas City Chiefs. The team with the best offense in the NFL just got the help it needed on the defensive side of the ball - Tamba Hali and Ty Law. Herm Edwards coaching style and these 2 guys address what KC needs to get them over the hump. Don't be surprised if you see KC win the division and end up in the AFC Championship Game.

The Italian national team, beacause they won the world cup, but I still don't really think they're the best. But this does make them Official the best team in the world (according to FIFA) I'm afraid

Indianapolis Colts baby! Go COLTS!!!!!!!!!!
All I gotta say is bring it on.... KC, Philly, Denver, Jacksonville, whoever. We're ready to be AFC champs this year.
I think we'll be playing Seattle. But maybe little Manning and the Giants will surprise. Wouldnt that be fun?
