My husband is abusive and states that he doesn't love me! He moved me to another country after we married and I have no money to go home on my own. I can not stand him and he feels the same yet when I mention divorce he gets madder at me and refuses? We have been married only a year and have two kids together. He can't stand being with the kids alone but if we separate he wants the kids? Is there a legal way to force him to divorce me? Can I go through the divorce process without his consent? What are the chances of him winning custody of our children??

Contact your local Legal Aid society... they will help for free.. they will do your divorce & your custody of the kids...

hoeny,when you come up with a solution to this problem, inform me too, because i need it also! babe, i am in the same situation, also with two kids. all i can say is this....save money, every penny you can, do whatever it is that you think will help you get through this. if you want to leave now go get gov't help, and just leave. and when he takes you to court for your kids, be honest, be straight up, and try to work something out where you two can share custody. one thing you can do is go to a lawyer, they can tell you more on what you need to do legally. and let me tell you, he can't make you stay married to him if you don't really want to. don't worry about the custody of your children yet. ask him to share custody and if he refuses and you want your kids, take them. they are your kids.
i promise you it seems like it is all too much to take in at once, but it will work out for the best.

I would call the lawyer in italy and just ask the question of divorce without his consent.
were you married in italy?
most mothers get custody of their kids, and fathers can visit.
but I would call a lawyers office in the phone book, or go to a law office.

talk with him, Ask him if the reason for not giving you the divorce are your children....pointing out that he already told you that he doesn't love you. do not get upset for that, you already are paying for that situation....if he doest give you any reasonable or respectful answer, look on your own how you can go back to your country with your children and from there start your divorce, distance may do things easier for you.

i think he marry you after he think very will ... and he put alot of choices in front of him ... and he picked you as the better woman he can find.
i am man ... and i know how mens think.
i think he marry you becuase he found a something a special in you?? try to find it.
may be you remiss something he want it from you? try to find it
may be he want a something from you he find it in another girl? try to know it
so prove to him you are still the better.
prove to hime you are the best female and choice to him.
be a strong and don't agree to be loser

go file it. put a legal notice in a couple of newspapers- then the courts will do it. and if he does not go to court, he cannot get the kids.

yes ..Don,t know w/ country your in..but usually guy/don,t get kids..unless y/in Iraq..or similar...
