what do dragons have to do with evolution? anyhow, people keep trying to prove evolution is real because most people bought the darwin theory, and don't want to look stupid for having done so. neanderthal man was supposed to be our closest ancestor, but can't be dna tied to us. they are still looking for the missing link between him and us. big waste of time. there is no link, because we were created.

What do Dragons have to do with evolution? Evolution is a theory as to how man evolved from primates. It is the most logical answer as to how we came to be as opposed to saying that one day some all powerful guy got bored in his workshop and decided to give some mud life because a book that has been rewritten since it first came out says so.

Dragons however tap into our subconscious fears, a beast that is lizard with intelligence and cat like movement and if that was not enough lets let it breath fire. The fact that Dragons exist in almost all cultures of the world speaks a lot of the human condition and that we are one people with similar fears. Maybe if the best lesson we could take from them is to imagine they are real so that we could all band together and put aside our petty differences to deal with bigger concerns.

Evolution is not only confined to humans evolving from primative man to modern man. All animals evolve in some way from what they were originally; How can they not? Not too many generations from now humans will not have wisdom teeth or an appendix because the extent of their superfluity is too great for us to hold on to. This process of using what is useful and discarding what is not useful is called evolution- the evidence is plain to see.
With regard to dragons, in the upper nile what we call today "Nile Crocodiles" were commonly called Dragons. Of course, as with any folklore, exaggeration is a useful tool in ensuring the general populace revers- and also wants to imitate- the heroes who display immense courage against such mighty creatures. Few would argue that a fire breathing monster is a ferocious animal and so worthy is he who overcomes such a beast. These creatures were not actually real- in their exaggerated form- so evolution would not apply to something that did not exist.

There is a great difference between the latest science and long outmoded myths, legends, folk tales and fairy tales. Evolution is one of our best-supported scientific theories (along with relativity, graivitation, etc.), while no scientists find any evidence at all for the existence of dragons. Dinosaur bones might be mistaken by primitive people for dragon bones, as might the bones of other beasts, past or present. Knowledge advances (in spite of some efforts to halt it), so we embrace Evolution and discard naive tales of dragons and creation myths of Egyptians, Sumerians, Chinese, Hebrews, Greeks, Vikings, etc...i.e. the most intelligent and educated people do.

AAHHH , Dragons ,the other white meat !! They do not have to try to prove evolution , Darwin already did that with the book " Origin of the Species " , when he studied the animals on the Gallapagos Islands .

Maybe you should go Dragon hunting in Thailand and find out. Or a remote island Near Austrailia where there's filled with geckos you wont even believe its size. I wont believe in the fire breathing thing. But theres already somthing close to explain it.

dragons are dinosaurs, am i the only one who notices how similiar dragons and dinosaurs look? all those old drawings of dragons look like dinosaurs. dinosaurs were around when people were around, people killed most of them, the new environment after the flood was hard on their lungs so they could have died off that way too, but there are still dinosuars found today. and they didn't not exist millions of years ago.

Because they are trying to understand their world, and not live in a fairy tale.
That's the human way, bubba.
Wake up. Smell the decaffeinated breakfast beverage.
Dragons are not "real".
So sorry.
