Who would you cast for it and why? I think that I would go with Johnny Depp because he is a very good actor and possibly Al Pachino or De Niro. It's hard to think of a good actress at the moment though.

Alright, it's a 'drama' movie investigating relationships between people. You need a youngish guy, and oldish guy and a lady and connections between them. Happy?

I'd cast Edward Norton as the younger guy. He was great in Fight club but hasn't really made the right choices since then, so he needs something good to realise his potential again. For the older guy I'd go for Dustin Hoffman. That doesn't really need an explanation. Dustin Hoffman is the forgotten hero as far as cinema goes in the last 40 years. Hmmmmm, there's not that many truly great female actresses around at the moment..... I'd have to go for Hilary Swank. Not your natural good looking leading lady but definitely a fantastic actress.

I would judge by the roles in it. I have written novels. One is a 1933 suspense tale with myself transported back to that time. I am a 285 lbs. powerlifter-martial artist with salt & pepper hair, tan skin and brown eyes. Who can play me in a film version? Perhaps Lou Ferrigno or Rolf Moller? The main girls in it are Chinese. One is a twin for actress Shao YinYin, so that is an easy choice. For the others, perhaps Gong Li and Wang TsuHsien. Tsam HsukYi would be good, but she was born in 1951. For the main Chinese men, Jet Li and Jackie Chan will do. They are about the right size as Chang Chin and Andy Chan in my novel. As you see, the actors you list are much too small or wrong in ancestry for my movie.

It would depend on what type of roles you are casting. Personally, if possible, I'd try to work in Edward Norton and Gary Oldman, two of the best actors going.

For an actress - again it would depend on the part.

I've always thought it would be cool to take two often typecasted actors, put them in the same movie, and switch types. For example, casting Christopher Walken as an intellectual and Leonard Nimoy as the bad guy.

I would definitely have to have Natalie Portman and Jean Reno. Ever since I saw them in The Professional they have been two of my favorite actors. She is beautiful and classy and could act her way out of an execution and I think Jean Reno is soooooo underrated. He deserves MUCH more credit than he gets. Besides his voice is so sexy I would listen to him reciting the alphabet if he were in a movie.

Right. Edward Norton as the young man. Morgan Freeman as the older man and Sharon Stone as the woman in the middle.

The race angle would be fun.
