They've metal in them.
And besides, have you tried moving a desktop computer?... Notebooks are a big improvement.

They are not heavy atall.It seems coz of the Battery
Battery is made up from Lead and Lead is the Heavy metal
Remove the Battery then you can get how easy to carry the laptop.
But don't do that you will gonna to loose Backup

Generally inside the body plastic body there is a metal body that accomodates all the boards accesssoreis etc. Also the length,widh and height is compressed to accomodate all the things in a Desk Top. As it is small in size, it has to be heavy!

Well their counterpart, the desktop pc, is so much heavier so i wouldn't complain. They can do a helluva lot for their size.
