Sweetheart I will tell you the same as I told both my boys, do your best...as long as you have done your best no one can ask any more.
My eldest has graduated with a 2:1 and the youngest with one year to go is well on track for 2:1. (the school always said he would never do well,).
Do your best then total up your points and look for the uni and course that suits you and your points.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

They reckon that 5 grade C and above minimum to get to stay on to do your 'A's. My son has just completed his 1st year of GCSE and the main thing I would suggest is to stay on top of your home work, and when you get assignments as part of your final grade, start on them straight away, and do a little each night or maybe half an hour twice a week, to make them the best you possibly can.
Do your best babe, keep your head down and remember that it is only going to be 2 years of your life, and those two years are key in setting yourself up for the rest of your life. And believe me......it might seem ages to wait....it comes round damn quick when you are living it!! Good luck and I hope it all goes well for you.

Because most employers and college selectors are still a bit stuck in the "old days" of O-levels, you really should try and get as many "C" grades and above as you can, English and Maths are the main 2 subjects, and anything else you can achieve is a bonus. Don't beat yourself up though. The main issue is about being enquiring, and planning your time effectively. DON'T LEAVE IT ALL TO THE LAST MINUTE! (Sorry about the shouting ;-) )

once you finish year 11 u need to get 5 A-C grades to get into a sixth form/college otherwise u will have 2 do gcse retakes, if ur staying on at ur present skool tho they might b a bit lenient. i got into college with 3 B's and C becos i won over the lecturers at an interview lol and i didnt have 2 resit. as for uni it depends wat degree u want 2 study, the amount of ucas points reflect the grades u need to get eg, 260 points is BCC i think. some courses like law require ABB but others such as english only require EED or something similar, but then it depends on wat uni u go 2 aswell. obsv not oxbridge on those grades! lol.
hope this helps :D

Depends upon what you want to study at uni as to the grades you need.
However, you should do the best you can - don't work to get a C, work to get an A! surely it is better to get all A's than all C's just because a C is all you need!!!

well (i think you are in england so on that ) it is best to get 5 gcse's of c or above that way you can go on to a levels and then to uni, do try your hardest to do as well as you can that is all you can do and you will then be happy with what you get and not upset you could have done better. but if you do not get the 5 do not get too upset there other thing you can do at colige that will then give you what you need to go on to uni.

If your really want to go to uni.. your question should be how to get the best out of yourself.. talking about minimum grades is actually putting you down.. the minimum is B.. but you should try to challange yourself and get the best out of you.. don't aim for the B.. aim higher

It's the grades you get in your A-levels in year 13 that are the important ones. In your GCSEs aim for A*, A, B or C. Then in your A-levels the universities ask for A's and B's. But if it's a un-popular subject (not meny people applied for it), then they will ask for C's.

Probably whatever the minimum grades are for your sixth form. You could always go to college for A levels failing that, but its a fairly good guide.

Depends what uni you want, go around and find the sylabus for wherever you want to go. If I were you though I'd just try my best - there is more to life then school, and if you fail then it's not the end of the world. (I failled miserably, and I'm doing ok)
