There are always people who get their kicks by tormenting someone else. They enjoy insulting or teasing others, because they themselves are insecure. They get pleasure out of watching the person who they have insulted or teased squirm, feel uncomfortable or cry. Their main purpose is to get a reaction out of the other person. They are known as "Bullies". They look for a comeback, they expect it, so don't give it!

Steps
When someone insults you, or remarks unfavorably about your looks or your clothes, just smile, and nicely say to the person, "You really think so?, I have been told my looks are very nice, but maybe I will have to change my hair style (or whatever they had made fun of)." Walk away. If you don't engage the person in a combative remark, he or she has nowhere else to go and has nothing else to say.
Remember that a person cannot fight or argue by himself. He needs someone to do this with. The only way anyone can hurt you is through physical contact. Words alone can only harm you if you allow them to.

Just turn around and walk awayIf he tells you "You are really dumb" (or something of this nature), just stand there and very nicely tell him, "Oh you think so? Well maybe I will have to study more. Then walk away, holding your head up high.
Did you ever hear this little saying: "Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never harm me?" Memorize it and remember it the next time someone says something insulting.
Try not to show your feelings if you are insulted or teased. The more you act hurt, the more the insults will continue. The goal is to hurt you, but if you do not show you are hurt, it will stop.

Tips
Keep your cool when someone starts making nasty remarks to you or about you in your presence. Act as if he is not really hurting your feelings.
Answering back with any type of retort will only make the situation worse. It is best not to reply at all, smile and walk away.

Warnings
There are too many children getting shot by some hothead who enjoys tormenting others. It is best not to show them that you care by giving them a wise comeback to their nasty or insulting remarks.
Better to walk away, than to be carried away.
If the person considers it their job to "initiate" you into a group and is taunting you in a playfull way, sometimes it is wise to utter a quick witted remark.

yeah I've been teased. And I let it get to me. It's hard for me to imagine people simply ignoring it. I suppose some do, but I think that most think about whatever was said and let that affect them. After all, when someone is teasing you, they use whatever ammunition that they can. They look for the most obvious "defect" and exploit it. Very often it's not a "defect", it's just something different from them. My brothers used to call me Fat Boy because I was a little bit pudgy. So of course my entire life I have been very conscious of my weight. If I would have had say ears that stuck out, that would have been their target. I think that in some cases, people make fun in a way that they think is harmless. Maybe they are trying to divert attention away from their defect by calling attention to yours. Once a person has been made fun of and knows how it feels, I think they are less likely to put others through that. I would be lying if I said I never made fun of anyone. But it was a very rare occasion because I knew how they must have felt because I had been there.

I think that all people get teased at some point in their life. The best is to ignore it. People tease others to make themselves look better as they are insecure about themselves.
If you are being teased, don't be hard on yourself, know that you are a better person by not teasing others.

I was always getting teased back at school , for been shy, At the time I felt let down , and alone, but now that I have grown up , I am used to ' lowlives ' teasing me, and now I realise that most of the time, they are only saying this because they are jealous about something.

The people that tease you are idiots that have nothing interesting to say. Just ignore them. And i now is not good advice, but that's what i do: when i have the chance i make fun of them, so they can feel miserably to.

Believe it or not, I was teased for wanting to better myself. Isn't that interesting? It made me stronger, it taught me to believe in myself, and it introduced me to the concept of crimes against humanity...in other words...it made me more compassionate and understanding. So what at first appears as a negative; can often become a positive.

I like to be teased and seduced .. i do not mind it ... because i am a tease myself .. it is challenging to be teased and if you are up to this challenge , you will manage to either overcome it or succumb to it.

In school , i have been called "legs " because i have long legs and i am tall ... but it turned out later that it is sexy and they were jealous

I was teased when I was younger. The best thing to do is laugh about it and let it go. Arguing back is exactly what they want you to do. So be the bigger person and don't let their childish words or actions get to you.
Best of luck.
