Well..this story is actaully the other way around. My old friend (Reunited after she came back from Virgina after 4 years) stopped hanging out with me & been actting weird. When she found out that I bang & I went to jail for some crazy things I use to do. But I'm good person now & even thought I still bang my set. I don't do all that crazy stupid bullshit. I live life. I work. I go school. And I take care of my family. I'm an average person. But she's letting my past get to her. Thinking...I'm going to steal from her. I'm not sweating it. But I just wanna know if people out there would do in this situation.

Hello,

People just need the opportunity to prove themselve, obviously you take into account what they have done in their past, but also focus on the future.

Give her time, probably she finds it hard to trust you...give her time...talk to her as well so she'll know what is what...

Take care

Not sure what "bang my set" means but it is easy for people to be judgemental when they have never been in the situation. You should continue living a good life. She may come around and want to be friends again but she may not. If she doesn't, you dont need her. If you're trying to put your past behind you, last thing you need is someone reminding you by being uncool with it. Congrats on the progress you have made!

Let me tell you something; you don't need a person like that; you need a friend. I remember I lost friends in 1967 because I went to war. It was a poor man's war with poor whites and blacks.

Friendship is more valuable than the finest gemstone. Judging from your picture, you have great looks. I would love to have you as a friend, regardless of anything in your past. That is God's way. I pray it is your way also.

You said it yourself, you still bang. Maybe that is the reason. A lot of people can't find it within themselves to see beyond the past history in some. However, if you are still a gang-banger maybe this person doesn't want to get caught up in all that. Maybe you should give up that lifestyle!

Try to do good for yourself and people around you. In time people will notice what you really are by your words and actions. You can not change the past, but you can make a better future. Keep on with school!

well, it is unfortunate what she is doing to you, I know that when people are young, they are sometimes ignorant to what they could be doing to their future when they are doing"crazy" stuff. I have done a few crazy things while I was young. I wouldn't turn my back on someone who did things while they were younger, everyone was younger at one point, and did crazy things. maybe she will come to her senses.
Blessed Be.

You can't change the past, you can change yourself, and you have. Congratulations, really. Changing other's minds, however, may take time. That is a price you have to pay.

I have several friends who were in prison, but are doing good now. I find them to be very loyal friends.

I think it would depend on the kind of crime the person did.
