Only if she's clapping with one hand on the way down.

She probably will, although it depends on how active her brain is still. For example, after volunteering at a nursery home for a few months, I saw that some elders' brains don't function much anymore and they can be on the floor forever and won't realize it. However, you can ask the staff for a certain device. This device is a wire attached to the body from the bed. That way, if the body moves too far away from the bed, it will make an alarming beeping noise that signals the nurses for help.

AHHH!! If this really did happen Im sorry!
I work at a Nursing Home (20 yrs) There is no way whether she made a sound or not that she should have went 4 hours without being checked on by staff!

She will probably make a sound if she screams or says "Ow" or anything of that sort. Otherwise there will be a sound made by the impact of her hitting the ground. But yes, most likely there will be a sound made unless she falls onto a bed or something that would make no noise whatsoever.

Great question! But more poignant when I realised it was true.
You certainly would expect people to be kept an eye on more regularly than that - do you know if your nan tried to 'raise the alarm'?

Yes, her sounds will alert the staff to the fall I would presume.

If your brain falls out of your head, and a car runs it over, does anyone give a crap?

Sheeesh! Get a life, boy!

Aaah - that's horrid! Your poor Nan, having a mean old grandson who would ponder such things.

I think she still would, something along the lines of "bugger, there goes my hip!" *sorry*

;o)

Depends upon whether or not she is carrying a chain saw and if it is running or not.
