It is Jonathan Neil Rhodes for me.

He is a sort of a fielder that will not allow the ball to pass easily from him.

I think you know that R Dravid is known as the Wall Of India. In the same way he is a wall in the ground. Even when the batsmen hit the ball with a huge pace also he can catch or stop it very easily.

He has a very good reflexes that helped him to be a great fielder of all time.

I did not see a better fielder than Jonty Rhodes in the cricket till now. He is a sort of player that brings the bowlers the required confidance. This is becuase when a bowler bowls and is being hit then when a fielder stops it, that gives a lot of courage to the bowler so that he can bowl a lot of good deliveries. He will fly with the cricket ball to catch it. If a batsman hit the ball to him, he will definately doesnt even try for a run.

After seeing only I think the phrase "CATCHES WIN MATCHES" came.

His career is an example for the future fielders of cricket. He showed that even though he dont know bowling and bat a little, fielding can reserve the place in the side.

After his era only the other teams also kept their concentration on the fielding and looked that fielding is an important aspect of cricket.

Considering the above views, I can say that Jonathan Neil Rhodes is the best fielder that I have ever seen.

Hope you like this information and understood how great J Rhodes is.

Jonathan Neil Rhodes (born 27 July 1969 in Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa), better known as 'Jonty Rhodes', was a South African cricketer, who was especially noted for his feats whilst fielding. A right handed batsman, he represented the South African national side in both the Test match and one-day international forms of the game. During his career he also played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, KwaZulu-Natal and Natal. He usually fielded at cover or point. (see Fielding positions) He is not only noted as a fantastic fielder, one of the best fielders in cricketing history, but also as a quick runner between the wickets and a batsman who likes to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Pakistan Cricket Board hired Rhodes for a 15-day period as a Fielding Coach to improve their team's fielding before touring England in June 2006.

Talking about fielders, ther is no one else than Jonty Rhodes of South Africa. The number of catches taken by him and runs saved are more than any other player in the world (if you consider average per match).

i think the question read - who is the best fielder?
Yes i agree - Johnty Rodes was the best fielder cricket has ever seen and i don't think that there will be anyone to match him for a very long time to come.

At the moment i think it is Ponting , followed by Gibbs .
