It's bad because you have no way of knowing for sure which is the right one, although it's *probably* the last one. It does *not* mean you're fertile for longer--ovulation predictor kits are made to *guess* when you'll ovulate, not to indicate when you are fertile.

I have had 3 days of positive LH surge before now, and I know that I ovulated on the very last day. Yes all my test lines were darker than the control line, so I know they were true positives on them.
Sometimes a womans body can gear up to ovulate, and give the LH surge, but your body doesn't actually follow through, and you don't release an egg. The only way to confirm if you have ovulated, is to notice a sustained rise in temperatures after ovulation has taken place.
The best thing to do, is use ovulation kits and temperature charting together, there is a free charting website www.fertilityfriend.com which is very good, and has helped me achieve 3 pregnancies so far.
Good luck!!!

You should only see a surge once. A test that shows a faint line or a line lighter than the control line is not a positive. Positives are only lines that match the control line in color.
