Work is more fulfilling when you know that you're making a living wage and can go home knowing you're living independently and can make it on your own. Unfortunately, that's not the story for millions of Americans, myself included.

I really enjoy work when I'm doing something fulfilling. I think I would go absolutely stir crazy if I didn't have to work, but yet, right now I'm really fed up with my job and am MISERABLE being there every day.

I find that personally, I get really wrapped up in my work and think nothing of spending 10 to 12 hours per day at the office if I feel like I'm doing something fulfilling, that benefits others. Now I have a new boss who is a micromanager so that doesn't work out so well anymore. New boss wants my hard work to benefit new boss.

Someday I'm sure something better will come along and I'll love it!

I can say that I absolutely LOVE my work...

ok maybe not any and all types of work but I really really do like what I do... I look forward to coming to work on Monday mornings and I definitely go out of the office happy in the evening (almost daily)

i wouldnt call myself a workaholic .... striking a balance between work life and social life is very important... i would not like to be on the extreme of any of these...

I cannot imagine sitting around doing nothing, if you dont work - what is your purpose in life ?? every one of us has talents - we just need to find the right job for ourselves !!

i am sure you have your unique capabilities too and once you find that right place, you will be able to say 'yes i do like my work'

work not only keeps me busy, but makes me feel independent, respect myself, can plan my finances, plan my future, buy property(s), invest etc - where would all this come from if i didnt work ??

Yes, partially. I hate having to get up at a fixed hour and get myself presentable and turn up at the job, etc.
But, on the other hand, I like doing my job, it makes a part of me resonate well to it, so I kind of put up with the dislike to working in general.

Nope... I love my job... I get to travel all of the time, meet great people, see the world and I do an excellent job.... I wouldn't know what to with myself without it.
