I answered a question on here from a guy called barry and i thought this was a site where you can put your opinions without any fear of reprisals but because i called him a queer, which he is because he had sex with a guy, i keep getting e-mails from him telling me to drop dead and other things.
I have of course reported him but as yet nothing has been done.
so tell me is this site for your opinions, or is it a site where, if you put something down and the person concerned doesn't like what you say they can send you e-mails threatening you, if it is the latter then why bother asking the questions in the first place??
maybe i shouldn't have said queer but i don't agree with using a word like gay because when i hear that word to me it means happy

There is a difference between voicing your opinion and insulting someone, unsurprisingly most people when offended will strike back. Try voicing your opinions without being insulting to others and you will not have anyone harassing you. Personally I see no reason why you should have reported him, you get as you give really! Homophobe...lol!

It is the risk you take if you have the email option. I agree with what others have said, I haven't seen the context, but you shouldn't use 'queer' and if you don't like 'gay' then you should always go with homosexual as that is the correct term.
However, if this chap had a problem with your answer then he is quite within his right to email you and let you know how he feels, but, if he is sending lots and lots of abusive mails without any further contact from you, then that is also wrong and he should stop. Do report him again and see if you can get him blocked from emailling you (don't know if that is poss).

You could have said homosexual. your white (I think) would you be offended if someone called you a Honkie? Queer is quite offensive. He's not queer for having sex with a guy, is quite common you know. If you don't understand it fair enough but try and be a little more open minded.

THAT WASN'T AN OPINION, THAT WAS A REMARK.
for those of you who wish to know what RICK wrote, he put
"keep your things to yourself ..... queer boy"
Maybe BARRY is really worried enough without remarks like yours.
Although there is NO excuse for him Emailing you, at all.
Barry (if you read this) stop it now, it was a silly comment.

I think people are sensitive and alot have chips on their shoulder. He is obviously not comfortable with his own sexuality if he is carrying on like that. If you are comfortable with how you are and you are offended by something someone says then you say to that person and then leave it. But to carry on with threats is like you are trying to prove something. Everybody is entitled to have their opinion. Why is it that we have selective freedom of speech. You can say anyting if you fall into a minority group but if you fall into any other category then you are not allowed an opinion. People need to grow up and get a lfe. If your life is so important to you then live it instead of trying to prove it to others who dont agree with it. That is what i say. It really annoys me.
Take the emails to the police and report him for threats. See what happens then.

Queer, assblower, fudge pump, doughnut lover, **** sucker whatever...if he doesn't like it ..who gives a ****! And if he's reading this then hey barry..bite me because your a sad little boy who has yet to grow up!
Hows that for abuse..and if he doesn't like it he can cry to his boyfriend, we are intitled to our opinions its called freedom of speech and on a daily basis people get offended, not everything is sugar coated and perfect! Women suffer more abuse than
men sexually on a daily basis..I know and hey life is harsh get used to it.....
Just block his email as spam..usually works for me!

you said it yourself. you shouldn't have used the word 'queer' . it's very rude, so you've opened yourself up to retaliation. the word queer is derogatory and isn't very nice is it? you could have even used the word homosexual as this is the correct terminology but you are obviously homophobic(dislike homosexuals) so perhaps you shouldn't have attempted to answer the question anyway.
