you didn't say where you were in the world. i just use the royal mail here in the uk. you can get a certificate of posting(so you can claim for breakages, losses) and you can send anything up to the value of £28 first class. parcel force can be cheaper for larger items. you are best to get it weighed before you make your choice. anything over the value of £28 you are best sending special delivery. ask the post office about this. there's more of a charge but it's the safest way of sending more costly items.

if your parcel is heavy ..over 2kg try to make it into two smaller parcels i saved £10 by doing that on a parcel to USA this week........lost money on the sale though because i didn't realise how heavy my item was. that was with taking it to the post office,it was still cheaper than the others

the Royal Mail. or Parcel Force if a very big item. only use Parcel Force if you have to, it's expensive compared to Royal Mail.

I always use Business post. Full online tracking, and very cheap, and they even collect the parcel from your home/business included in the price. Brilliant!

Parcel force are fairly good. Ups are the best but they are way more expensive than parcel force.

Try Parcelforce. I've used them. They collected the parcel from an address I specified and delivered it the next day.

Try TNT Express UK ltd, Freephone: 0800 100 600. I used them all the time for business deliveries and had no problems. They do Uk and international. We did used to use Initial City Link who are also ok, but they don't deliver to Northern Ireland. You'd have to check on Yell.com for you local contact centre number.
