My mum had booked a holiday which she thought would be for the first week of the summer holiday at the time, but it turned out to be my last week of year 6.
I still went to rehearsals with everyone else for the leaver's assembly and just joined in with the group songs.
I would have prefered to be there for the real thing, though.

It was a very long time ago that I left primary school but I still remember it clearly. On the last afternoon of the summer term all the classes went up to their new classroom and we had to stay outside because we were moving to the senior school. We went to the windows to see what was happening inside and Mr Maton (my favorite teacher of all time) can out and shouted at us and told us to go away - something he would never do when we were 'his' class.

So I ended my prep school feeling very sad.

The next September was new and exciting in the big school and I soon forgot how I felt. I'm sure you will too. This is a bit of a funny summer for you because all you really know is what you've left behind and not what you have ahead of you.

Soon you will settled again and can look back on the good times in your primary school not just the end. You will also be surprised how quickly you will find you grow out of the primary school and that it is just for the young ones anyway.

For now enjoy the summer holidays and HELP YOUR MUM

i did. i remember i sobbed HARD in the girls toilet. but after you get to secondary school you realise your primary sch friends and slowly drifting away and unless you really try hard to keep in contact, you probably arent gonna be their close friend anymore.
life is about moving on. you grieve over something, but only for a while. then you let go and move on.

I didnt! That was the happiest day of my life! I couldnt wait to escape the clutches of my teacher, she was an evil ***** who used to slap us if we got stuff wrong.

I cried. However it was thousands and millions of years ago so I can hardly remember it. I just remember one bloke saying "don't cry, you should be happy about it".
