Rifle Range....
Sigma is th Greek letter as pointed out by other answers. The symbol is often used to indicate summation. But I wouldn't regard it as a Mathematical Term. It is just notation.

Sigma is the eighteenth letter of the greek alphabet - it is no more of a mathematical expression then the letter e is. Although the letter sigma is used to denote many mathematical objects. Commonly it represents both standard deviation in statistics and sigma-algebras in measure theory.
Range is a mathematical term, but not rifle range!
