It is an excellent idea!
Then they can all die of aids faster and then there is jobs for everybody! Employment rate is like 50% in this country.

It's very much a money situation or rather not enough of it. Those drugs are not cures, so repeated refills are constantly needed to satisfy A LOT of people on a monthly basis. Because the drugs are mainly imported from US and other european countries, the cost for them are enormous. I do agree that condoms might be better, depending on their costs vs vegtables in your country. It might be cheaper to save up some money by the givernment and build a chemical plant in your country instead of relying on other countries, but that doesnt sound too feasible right now. The drug companies might not want to do that for various financial reasons.

This is a bad idea. Manto Tshabala Msimang (spelling?) aka the African Potato is not very clever.

Anti-retrovirals are not bad because they lower your viral load, within your blood system, and prolong your survival. They have side-effects, but they are outweighed by the benefits.

The real reason SA doesn't want to give AR therapy is that they don't want to have to deal with AIDS orphans. AR therapy allows an HIV + mother to have a healthy baby. She then dies, and the state has an orphan on its hands.

Very sad.

Bad idea. Can AIDS be cured? They must just want to save money. AIDS drugs are even expensive in America. Start giving condoms out for people to use. That is protection from a deadly disease.
