Well, when I got put in and out of the hospital for the last eight months or so, I found out who my true friends were. I don't suggest this route, but I sure was surprised to find out who really cares and who doesn't. I broke up with my girlfriend of 3 1/2 years during this time. You never know who your true friends really are until you need them the most.

Well, I believe friendship is built on few things which include havin faith, being truthful, being kind & good and standing along in bad times rather backing off, I believe its an integral part of your own. And if it is not that then I would say it would as compromises or friend of good times ot passtime.

probably plenty of ways to test that but I would say if you feel the need to test your circle of friends then you may want to find another circle of friends.

hm.. test or try to find out how are their attitudes! If they have attitude problem, that friend may be no longer like to be friendship'!

true friendship does'nt need any test,its based on trust and you can feel it through the deeds of your friends!!

I think the closest term I'm trying to mention is known as "benevolence". That is, friends who offer their selfless help before you ask them when you are in need.
