hiya. I'm a native speaker of English and Afrikaans and have a university post-graduate degree in French and English, and have taught both for a period of no less than 8 years. I live in England and have been to France several times. One of my best friends are french as well so...
Crêpe is pronounced by the English as 'crape'
Crêpe is pronounced by the French as 'krep' (e is pronounced same as in the e in 'wet')
I hope this helps :))

Absolutely crepe is with the "eh" pronunciation. That is the way the French pronounce it. Crape is so American! Try to respect the way it is pronounced in its original language, please. Big pet peeve of mine. Another example: Venice is Venezia!

You can say it with confidence...it is pronounced like "krape". Below is an excerpt from Google.
Crape and crepe rhyme with tape, except that the pancake sometimes may keep the French pronunciation but sound the s in the plural, rhyming more or less ...

Either is correct, it just depends on where you are from as to how you pronounce it. The only time I use the pronunciation "krape" is when I referring to the type of paper.
