I have had this experience a lot in my work so I'm probably not as "shocked" by it, Just talk to them normally, don't shout or use stupid hand gestures, maybe speak slower and look them in the eye.

how do I feel afterwards? Sad, because it shows that's sometimes life is just so unfair, but you know you can get a lot from these relationships as they teach you lessons you sometimes need to learn.

Excellent honest question...well done

How would you feel if you were deformed? I have a deformity and the only people who have acted differently were children and people with the mind of a child. Would you act differently if your mother or father were scared by burns all over their bodies? Sometimes it can come as a shock but their souls are the same as yours.

Usually, amazement at their courage. It must be difficult to go through life with a severe deformity. They have more courage in their fingertip than I have in my whole body.
