At the hospital I work at,I was told that a man came into the ED complaining of stomach and pelvic pain.After doing X-Rays,the doctors found that he had put a gerbil up his butt(he had tied a string on the gerbil's tail so when it died he could pull it out but the string came off),they had to do surgery to remove gerbil.

Yes it's true in some cases. A local TV weatherman here had to be hospitalized because of it. It ruined his career.

hahaha someone told me that before and apparently its true. loads have had to go docs to have them removed. the reason behind it is that they scratch away to get out and it turns the dirty perverts on lol
