Your painting is good. However, it is important initially to have a job to support yourself. Bring a sketchbook wherever you go. Make sketches of whatever interests you. Save money to purchase supplies. When you think you have a good idea, paint it on canvas. Take your paintings to a "juried" art fair. That means that a panel must decide whether your paintings are good enough to be included in the fair. The fair will charge a fee for your booth, however, the potential for selling your paintings is extremely high. Keep a resume of the fairs in which you have participated. Eventually, you will gain enough recognition to have an exhibition in a gallery. When you become well known you can quit your job. Otherwise, paint in your spare time whenever you have a particularly good sketch.

If you value stability and financial security it is not advisable for you to quit your job.

You should find ways to paint during your free time and go to gallery talk to them if you could put up your piece in their gallery for sale. Of course they will take part of the profit, this will save you time from having to sell it yourself.

Otherwise you can market it online, but it still requires your attention to enquiries from prospect.

After a while and you more confident that you have some money to spare you the down time, only than do consider making painting your full time job ;)

Take acid and you will SEE". Don't quit your job, paint or whatever after work in your spare time. Then get reckonized then quit. But the most inportant thing of all is to go with your hart, don't listen to your rational mind. If your hart say's do this art thing full time then do so. You have to change your thinking to be a good artist.

Does your present job consume 24 hours of your day? Surely you must be able to find SOME time in your day to paint.

Once you make more money painting, then you should quit your present job.

If you die early, your paintings will become more valuable faster! :)

But seriously, you may just have to find a way to:

o Paint while you continue your job (can you go part time for a while? or take a holiday)

o Find another job (or any other means) to sustain your finances while you paint

Express yourself!

Anyone afraid to live their dream will never make it. You have to jump in and put all yourself into it. If you do then you will sell.

If not, then maybe try selling your "original artwork" on ebay or similar...or send some samples to galleries. You can do this while you are still at work.

Be what you want. Who said you cannot paint during your free time? Do it as a hobby and you'll have more fun.
