Stay away from them! I have found that many times you will get some kind of trickster spirit come through. They will almost always give you an accurate answer, but 99% of the time that answer will harm you in some way. This is NOT a toy. You have no control over who or what comes through. I had one as a teen and got rid of it when I saw that I was being hurt by knowing the "truths" it told me. I swore I'd never own another one. Several years ago I did get another. I guess I'd forgotten about the hurt it can cause. I used it once & got a great reply that I thought would help a friend. It didn't help at all. In fact the info hurt my friend so much that we are no longer in contact with each other. The info was true but too painful for them to deal with. I didn't know that it would hurt like that and thought I was doing a good dead by passing the info on. Needless to say, the board was in the trash the next day. I swear that I will never forget again.

I hate them! I had a very negative experience with one. Here is what happened. I was 15 and went for a sleep over at a friends house. I brought a ouija board that my mom gave me. At midnight her and I started to use it. We contacted a spirit of a young boy that was killed by a train (there were train tracks nextdoor to her house). After we contacted the spirit we went about our business. The next night when I was home, I woke up sat bolt straight in bed and was screaming in a voice that was about 4 octaves lower than my own. Needless to say that woke the whole house up. After about an hour I was asleep again, again I woke up screaming. Somehow in the back of my mind I knew I forgot to do something. Out of instinct I said to myself "I release you" to the spirit of the boy. I was able to sleep after that and never had that experience again. What happened? I relived the death of the boy twice! Ever since then I will not touch, be near or participate in using one. They are dangerous. They open up a portal to the spiritual realm and you do not have control of what may come through. You may think you have the spirit of your dear grandmother but it could be an evil entity masqarading (yes they can do that). Unless you have the power and the knowledge to shut down a portal or even the mental strength to do it I would strongly recommend you stay away from them. This also go for seances performed by "kids" and not a practiced and skilled medium. The same thing can happen. Also if an evil entity does come through there is a good chance that it will attatch itself to someone present, usually the caller. BEWARE!

It boils my blood seeing them sold as toys in a toy store. I just want to go up and slap the manager.

A Ouija board is one of many kinds of talking boards. Calling them all Ouija is like calling all coffee Starbucks. The boards themselves have no power but calling to spirits in any manner is slightly dangerous. I do believe in the paranormal and I have had some weird stuff happen. The most I have had happen from a spirit board was a gust of wind in a completely closed off room. There were no windows or vents. The average person will not get results from a spirit board.

When I was about 13 I had a slumber party with about a dozen girls. A few minutes into the ouija board adventure, one girl screamed and fainted. We all thought she was insufferably silly. What a wimp.

When I was an older teenager I tried the ouija with friends and decided it was mostly gibberish, unless one of us was deliberately steering the planchette to spell out words.

I bought a ouija board a couple of years ago as a meditation tool.

Basically a ouija board is whatever you put into it. If you expect something, you'll manufacture it. If you expect nothing, you'll get gibberish. If you expect bogeymen or demons, you'll imagine evil spirits coming through to getcha.

They are rubbish. Apparently nothing happened because I didnt believe enough. But when party poopa Me wasnt there, there was all kinds of spirits contacting people.
So unfortunatly my believing the absolute obvious is just Way too powerfull for spirits from the otherside.
Spirit communication or
Drunk teenagers pushing a pushy thing around on a board with letters on it?
I go with the latter

Yeah. I'm not too good with them. My sister haunted my mom's house, eventually it stopped but it always felt like someone was at my bedroom door when I went to bed. Cat was hissing at air once, staring at this one corner in the room. But my one friend said every time you play with a ouija, make sure you say goodbye and "close" the board, unless you like a particular spirit hanging around.

I have a very old one, that one of the seniors I worked for ,gave to me before she passed on , and I can tell you it really does work! I have had the instrument go so fast ,I have left the room and as of this I put it away. All is related to the Creator and the Cosmo and we are all part of this ,as such we need to be carefull when dealing with things of the spiritual nature if we may say and be always in prayer and always for good.

I have not played a real one, and don't think I would, I do not want to invite anything like that into my home. I am not sure how or if they work, but have heard lots of stories where people have been given creepy messages or been harassed by a spirit after they have used one.

I haven't ever used one because all of the experiences I have ever heard were very bad...like opening some type of portal for demons to come in and potergeists. So I've never touched one.

Sorry, but they are pure nonesence. If everyone is playing by the rules, the plastic seer disc thing will wander around randomly and spell out nothing.
But beware of mischevous cheaters!!
