I've visited a jeans forum, hoping for enlightenment about care instructions on my >indigo dry denim jeans<, as well as how to fade them according to my petite built.
To my horror, the people there insisted that dry jeans SHOULD NOT be washed for the first SIX MONTHS, just wear them to get a great faded look.. they said.
so, what goes on in the washer which prevents me from getting that same faded look I outta get even if i did not wash my dry jeans? sure there will be bleeding, but i just don't see the before-after difference.

I think the key word here is "dry" jeans, which may have something to do with how the indigo is attached to the cotton fibre. No idea how that could be different from the ordinary process, though - might be an industrial secret.

That "great faded look" may be the result of dry mechanical stress, whereas the washer offers wet mechanical stress. Rather than parts of the pigment breaking off, some might get leached out.

IMO this is something only purists care about. From personal experience (due to a jeans fad in my youth) I'd expect a pair of jeans that hasn't been washed for half a year (while being worn) not only to be able to stand alone, but possibly crawl away by itself...

maximum possibly, trashed. If a cellular telephone receives moist, under no circumstances attempt to illustrate it on. I discovered the not easy way it truly is what fries its insides. instead, you're taking a hair dryer on "cool" and blow air into it like the position the charger is going in. Wait an afternoon. Then, see if it fairly works. I had one moist telephone artwork lower back after taking that step. once you've telephone insurance, the employer will pay for a sparkling telephone. If no longer, you should purchase a sparkling one.
