ive run an avast full system scan all the files it said to delete were windows sys files how do i know wich ones i can or cant delete

First, clear your browser's cache BEFORE you do a spyware scan since some of the stuff is just there and it'll cause false-positives.

If you used ad-aware, it should say whether and which spyware is negligible or bad. I'd just put the negligible ones in the 'ignore' list since they're not a bother.

If you're still unsure of the remaining ones, just put them in the quarrantine box without deleting them first. If they screw your system, boot in safe mode and restore them. If your system is OK after a few weeks or months, that's the time to delete them.

I use avast myself,and have found it to be the best for arresting viruses,you can move them to the chest,which is the quarantine area for avast.That way you can always retreive them from the chest if you want to.I have deleted something that was attatched to the workings of my media player and im having a few problems now with that.Another good free program to remember,or download is free undelete,it recovers files that you have deleted and allows you to restore them,but if they contained a virus,you will probably get it back.--http://officerecovery.com/freeundelete/
