Write your presentations in advance and have someone check over what you've written for errors. Then practice and do it. Also put more effort into learning the language.

Its normal. I suggest to take this as your training and try to learn where you made mistake.
Yes, doing homework like practicing yourself with the material is always helpful.
What people normally miss out is, they do the preparation assuming ever thing will go well. They fail to anticipate worst scenarios. For instance, you are about present a subject and the other person say "Oh! This subject is boring". You should be prepared for this response and should have a way to come back in the discussion with a promising note.
Its just practice, the key is never let such situation overcome you.

Just do it. You must expand your comfort zone. What's the worst that can happen? You get embarrassed maybe? You make a mistake? So what? If you don't get out of your shell you will die in it. Shrug it off and let the world see how intelligent and witty and clever you are. Stand up like you are the only one in the world who knows your topic and tell them about it like their lives depended on it. Imagine you will never see them again and they must know what only you know.
Do it once and the second time will be easier. Do it twice and you will want to do it a third time. Set yourself apart. Most people won't speak publicly. Buy why? Only because they refuse to try. You can do this! You know the material. Everyone will wish they could stand up before an audience like you. And they'll tell you how much they admire you when you are done.
Just imagine them all in their underwear as you stand before them. It works!

Can you elaborate? A second language barrier or a problem with being able to do presentations/public speaking?
What course, what kind of presentation is necessary and what exactly is the problem you have with the form of communication required?
