This is actually like comparing a Nissan Maxima to a Bentley! But you said it correct - they TRY! There is actually no comparison. Lebron is head and shoulders better than Carmelo. When they first came to the league, I figured Carmelo would win the ROY because of his college experience and after that he (and the rest of the league) would be playing catch up to the King. Well, I don't have to tell you what's happening. But Carmelo is a great scorer, is aggressive and has a knack for making big shots and that's why I think he's on he U.S. You have to give him some kind of credit; he's definitely NOT a bum!

Why are ppl comparing basketball players at all...? I mean all you have to do is go to NBA.com and look at their stats and you know who's better... So why even ask ?? And it's not like the players stats are even close... it's like Wade and Jordan.... thats like 20 something points per game for Wade and 30 something for Jordan. Now I hope they can figure that 30 is a larger number than 20... Then Wade and Lebron is the best example where the stats are even close, but still if you just look Lebron is better all around (high stats in scoring assists and steals). As for Carmelo... don't get me started on him...

Heres my handle it Ballhandling- the two are conventional ball handlers yet ill provide it to lebron. taking photos-Carmelo, do no longer surely could clarify this one. Passing-Lebron, lebron is a superb passer no longer a large passer, yet he's a extra proper passer than anthony. protection- Lebron, gets puffed up defensively imo, he's a superb defender yet via no ability large. he's even with the undeniable fact that miles beforehand of anthony. Rebounding- This one ought to circulate the two way, on account that anthony is splendid on the offensive boards, and james is large on the defensively boards. i will provide the nod the Lebron on account that his occupation conventional is larger than Camelo's. Scoring Melo is via far the extra proper scorer, he alongside with Kobe, and Dirk are the only finished scorers interior the nba. via that i mean all 3 have exterior and interior video games. to no longer point out his triple probability game makes him unpredictable. Lebron is an incredible scorer for no longer in all probability having any circulate to strikes. He rankings from using interior the lane, rhythm jumpshots, fastbreaks, and the freethrow line. he's an inconsistent shooter yet while he gets in going he's annoying to guard. usual im gonna could say James

The main reason is because they were in the same draft class (year). They also have great all-around games. Carmelo doesn't "suck", he just isn't as hyped up as LeBron. Carmelo honed alot of his game in college, LeBron didn't have to.

The main reason they have been compared to for so long is the fact that they have been competing against each other for so long. In AAU, in high school (which was televised on ESPN2, with Jay-Z and Derek Jeter in attendance) , and then in the pros. What made it even more interesting was while Melo is a year older, instead of going to straight pro, he went to college and got a chip (as a freshman) and then headed to the league.

I think it's been shifted to Dwayne Wade being compared to Lebron James. They've become the upper echion of that draft class.

Probably because the two are friends and were in the NBA Draft the same year.

I live in Denver and I understand what you are saying.
Carmelo doesn't suck, but he is no where near LeBron
