I soak all my white work shirts in the washing machine overnight with one sleeve of denture cleaning tablets. I work with food, some of it quite nasty to white shirts, i.e. blueberries, caramel color, cocoa, and the denture cleaning tablet trick works wonders on them!
I'm not old enough to have dentures, but found this trick in a book called talking dirty laundry with the queen of clean.

Wash your shirt by hand. Then put ample amount of chlorine on the stain and start rubbing it. In less than 10min, stain will disappear. Or better yet, let me work on it, send it to Philippines.
