Ebay business. You can sign up with a drop shipper, so you don't have to buy the merchandise before selling it, if you don't have any money to invest. Then you list the items the drop shipper has for sale on Ebay and pay for the item, only after it has been sold (and you keep part of the profit, just like any other business).

I know its crazy but you might check out Primerica. It cost a little bit to get involved, but even if it doesn't work out you have a license to sell insurance you can take with you anywhere.

I put myself in your shoes..........then I add in a desperate situation in which I need to pay bills.....and costs of keeping a couple of teens.....

....are you a pleasnt and sociable peson?

if you are...you may like to do some so-called 'net-working' work......using your phone & e-mails....... basically 'brokering business deals'............ & keep those checks coming into your bank account.
