My mom passed away in 2001. My grandmother (against court order) has allowed my uncles girlfriend, who works in a law office, do all of the paperwork. When I try to contact my grandmother, she tells me to ask the girlfriend. When I try to contact her, my uncle hangs up on me. When I try to contact the court, they won't give me info over the phone. (I'm in Bakersfield, CA & the probate is in Orange County CA [a 2 1/2 hour drive]) Any advice on how to get this resolved without having the financial resources to hire a lawyer, etc.?

This is real serious,
go thru the phone book ans find some attorneys that specialize in that field,, get a consultation, sometimes they are free, sometiimes you pay a small fee,

Either way, the investment of your time, and maybe a small ammt of money is necessary so you know where you stand in all of this,,

You can also sign up for prepay legal attorneys, and they will give you all kinds of info, and direct you to the right avenue,, you need,

Don't take advice of anyone other than an attorney,, otherwise you are wasting time, and taking risks,
good luck
