It is ironic. Abortions kill millions of babies a year, and leave numerous people with internal scarring, mental/psychological trauma, infections, and permanent infertility... and the worse thing that could happen with a piercing is a nasty infection and external scarring, and maybe a little depression when looking at the results of piercing gone bad.

I suppose it's because it reflects our culture. What matters is the external beauty, not the internal health.

Because the abortion lobby (Planned Parenthood - there is an oximoron for you) spends massive amounts of money to push their agenda.

I doubt that a cent is spent to back the public desires in reguards to piercing laws.
