Hitler was NEVER excommunicated nor condemned by his church. Matter of fact the Church felt he was JUST and “avenging for God” in attacking the Jews for they deemed the Semites the killers of Jesus.
Hitler, Franco and Mussolini were given VETO power over whom the pope could appoint as a bishop in Germany, Spain and Italy. In turn they surtaxed the Catholics and gave the money to the Vatican.
Hitler worked CLOSELY with Pope Pius in converting Germanic society and supporting the church. The Church absorbed Nazi ideals and preached them as part of their sermons in turn Hitler placed Catholic teachings in public education.

A groups intention is best surmised by they’re actions not they’re rhetoric. Hiding behind religion may be a clever ploy but we as Americans should not be so easily fooled.

Other religions have done this in the past but that is a part of ancient history. Its those that are doing it now that is bothering people.

I wonder if there is a place for other people and religions to exists if they are in charge?

Okay Isaac, so you were fishing for a certain answer. Maybe people are making a mistake by singling out Hitler as the evilest person ever. There have been many Hitlers, many genocides, and they're not all on the pages of past history. Hitler gets too much credit. Murderous tyrants are quite common.

Their are many governments where religion plays to big a role in governments. Look at the Church of England! That's why we want to keep it out of ours!

perchance convinced I agree, yet another significant faith has too at one time or yet another for the period of their heritage. i experience it is more effective like the non secular / social elite of Islam is utilising faith to tug the human beings into combating for them. the ordinary man or woman in an Islamic united states of america is pulled into their non secular leaders believing that they can thoroughly administration their area and previous. and that i don't think of it is previous questioning that those similar leaders might want to be utilising faith to regulate the human beings of their own starvation for ability. it fairly is to no longer knock those Muslims who're no longer radical fundamentalists they could be truthful believers as followers of any faith.
