there's this really shy guy that likes me. i really hope he doesnt think i like him b/c i avoid him as much as possible. its weird cuz he is soo shy and has nothing to say to me in person but talks to me through myspace. i see him taking pics of me w/ my phone and i hear from everyone he likes me. i really dont like him but dont want to hurt him. i just want to get him to stop liking me and stop the awkwardness!!

Since he tells everyone he likes you, then you should tell all these people that you don't have any special feeling for him and only treat him like a platonic friend. Soon words will go to him without your effort and cos is not directly from him, he will not feel hurt. When face with him try to be yourself and not feeling awkward as he might thought you feel for him that why you are shying away.

make him you friend coz the more you ignore him the more you strengthen him to go on.
But be very careful and not encourage him in the process, encouraging him is always giving him a green light.
Making him you friend brings a fresh air between you two and makes it easy for both of you to open up and redirect your lives. If you do want to hurt him...thats his problem coz there is nothing you can do to stop that. its only him to do it. Do your part and let him do his

Stop talking to him thru myspace...it just encourages him, be honest and upfront but not mean...just tell him you aren't interested in more than a friendship or whatever it is you want, or don't want from him. And yes if that doesn't work, be weird or obnoxious, be evertyhing he doesn't like in a girl. Good luck.

Tell him politely and firmly that you are going around with someone else! Make it clear that being in a relationship you feel akward becaquse of his behaviour.

Find a criteria in a man that you like which he doesn't have. Make that known, either on your site or just by chatting with friends. I m sure he will get it eventually. Maybe "height" "body type", or whatever, you don't have to say "I don't like him because.." Instead, "I like a guy with masculine body, tall, blue eyes..." (whatever that you can find).
