The other person is away from home and would like to open a Yahoo account to use on her computer when she returns home.

You can go to Yahoo.com and set up an account from ANY computer (that has internet access). When this person gets home she can go to yahoo.com to access the account she created. She just has to use the same user id and password she used to set up the account. It has nothing to do with the actual computer the person used to create the account.

Yes you can do that. You can open account for anyone and that person can use it from anywhere in the world but she must know the user name and the password for that. Thats the only rule.

Absolutely. You can even do it for her using her own password, username, etc. She can change her password later if she would like.
