Why are there some many out there that see lebanon and hezballah as a completly innocent party in the conflict

many people here continue to claim that israel is unjustified in the war and they are killing innocent people. israel has withstood decades of terrorism without much more then a slap on the wrist for those responsible. they even gave land to palestinians in an effort to create peace but that wasnt good enough for the arab world. Also, lebanon is just as guilty in this conflict as hezballah. they have harbored this terrorist group and allowed them great freedom in their nation. also, no one seems to remember that israel is getting bombed to. the reason less people are being killed is because israeli citizens had the sense to get out before getting hit. israeli soldiers are also not using civilians as human sheilds. i am glad that israel has reacted how they did to the 3 captured and 8 murdered solidiers that everyone seems to forget. i wish the US would react the same way to captured soldiers and civilians in Iraq but i guess they just dont have th balls.

i agree that diplomacy is best but, it has failed for decades these people are terrorists and will not simply lay down their weapons as long as israel remains a jewish state

in response to thesetup israel was given to the jewish people by the UK who owned the territory at the time. Also, is in Israel's 58 years of existance they have never invaded or initiated a single war. also almost all land that they seized during these wars has been given back (sinai peninsula, much of southern lebanon and the gaza strip). all of this land was legally annexed by israel but in an effort to keep peace they returned, and you all say that israel does not want peace and diplomacy.

For better or worse you are right. Terrorists, not Israel go around killing people. So far, and since Israel was created after WWII they have only defended themselves. All the idiot terrorists states need to remember, Israel is a nuclear power. One day they will get fed up with this and level Lebanon and maybe some others.

Lebanon has openly allowed Hezbollah into their government so they DO share guilt and are not an innocent here. If a terrorist group started to attack us with medium range rockets from Mexico does anyone think we would not stop it ourselves or wait for Mexico to stop it?

Israel is surrounded by these people (Radical Terrorists) and the Arabs won't stop bitching about a small amount of land (compared to the region) that England owned and gave to the Jews in part for losing over a million people in WWII and MANY more at the hands of Arabs over the centuries. So who's getting the short end of the stick here. If radicals stop, Israel will stop. As an intelligent redneck Might say, "It's about long term survival for the Jews stupid".

Over the last 900 years the Jews have contributed to modern advances for mankind more than all the Arab states combined, I think that might earn them a little land without being assaulted. Anyone who disagrees is an idiot. I am not a Jew or Christian, I just see the truth.

Lebanon and Hezbollah are not the same. Hezbollah is a group supported mainly by Iran as a sworn enemy of the Jewish State of Israel. Lebanon is a sovereign nation of people who just want to live their lives without getting bombed. Is there a difference?

The Lebanese government is weak and getting weaker from bombardment, it is also trying to control a country overrun by Syrian soldiers and Hezbollah. Needless to say it has not had success.
The retaliation by Israel is doing a huge favor for Hezbollah. They enjoy it because it justifies their cause and boosts their popularity. How many Lebanese children now feel victimized by Israeli counter offensive ? How many have been convinced into becoming suicide bombers lately ? Is there no holy scripture that talks of peace and restraint. Have 10,000 years of history not gotten us any farther than Abel and Cain ? How does one extinguish Hatred with Violence. True, what Hezbollah did was wrong but how does dealing destruction to nobody in particular make everything right. Lebanon is not Hezbollah.

There needs to be some kind of peace process going, a cease-fire at least, but America won't try to help.

Israel was built in 1948 over the razed homes of Palestinians without any justification by the US and UK. No matter how much land Israel gives back to the Palestiniens, that historic fact cant be changed.
That very event gives the Arabs a reason to hate Israel. And Israel worried about their survival (and who wouldnt be surrounded by so many enemies), has to hate them back.
So there really arent any innocents and guilties in the situation. There are two sides, you pick the one you like.
As for the balls of the US goes, you are wrong. The US has enough balls to attack Germany, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Furthermore, Israel is nothing but an insignificant spec without the US. If it wasnt for Uncle Sam, Israel would be history (again) by now.

How do you think, why so many people of the world think that Jews were victims during times of Nazi?

As the author said that my answer is not clear, I add some words.

Nobody is completely white or black. However the level of greyish is not as important in some instances, taking into account terrible things, which happen at the same time around them.

I think that considerations about greater or smaller inocence of Lebanon during time of heavy bombings would be equal to considerations that there were heavy criminals, also Jews, among Jews, which were brought by nazi to concentration camps. Does that have something to do with essence of the conflict?

It is sad that the state, whose citizens, it seems, could teach the whole world to eliminate racism through their history, finally behave as new nazi themselves.

I have sad experiences as a witness of racist discourses/omissions among officials on human rights at international level. I made a strong conclusion for myself then, despite all my previous attitudes, that disproportionate representation of suffering minorities is much more harmful in such meetings for true defence of human rights than lack of professionals among them. Disproportion causes an effect of neglect towards others. Expression of that: talking about not participating party (because of it weakeness) as a main source of problems + willingness to use a power assuming that there is no other way "to solve a problem".

I think an entire network of international narcotaffic holds exactly on such things too. It would be interesting to make correlation between successful antidrug operations of big scale with war conflicts. One buisiness brings less profit, then another business should compensate. Just hypothesis. Info on stake-holders would say much.

Diplomacy will be a temporary solution, at best. Islam is a political system as well as a religious one. It is intolerant of non-Muslims. Pray for the Messiah. All three Abrahamic religions believe in the Messiah who will bring lasting peace

Iran has brought about some hardship in Lebanon yet no longer as much as Israel has, and if it wasn't for Israel invading and occupying Lebanon interior the 1st place then Hezbollah does no longer even exist as we communicate. Why did Israel could occupy Lebanon interior the 1st place? Is it because of the fact they could't stop their lust for conflict and violence? or is it because of the fact they're land pirates/thieves? for each action, there's a reaction, Hezbollah isn't the action, this is the reaction. i've got not considered Iranian squaddies in Lebanon, i've got basically considered Israeli squaddies polluting the air in Lebanon. you're merely bitter because of the fact, with Iran's help, Hezbollah exchange into waiting to expel the Israeli canines that exchange into squatting on their land.

first - I am from Palestine and i would like to till you that Israel gave us nothing,,,, they gave us our villages and cities but all the cities and villages are surrounded with the Israelis army,,,, and during the peace treaty 91 to 1998 they entered my village many many times
